We have our halls decked here at Turner Home! From Indoor decorations and trees to outdoor lights and wreaths these tips should help take a little stress out of the holiday prep!

Trees: Whether it is white lights or multi colored lights you can never have too many lights on a tree! (use about 100 mini lights per foot of tree). If you are lucky enough to own a pre-lit tree that will save a lot of time and frustration. Once the tree is lit, the next show stopper is a great top treatment. Try thinking outside the box and instead of the traditional angel or start how about:
Stuffed animals
Floral arrangement
Feather arrangement or a large bird (think peacock or owl)
Shells/starfish/driftwood arrangement
Monogram
Mermaid
A Christmas word out of metal or wood
Table Settings: Table tops are a great place to show some holiday cheer without breaking the bank! Try using family heirloom linens or a bright plaid blanket as your base. Pair something unique (like vintage toys) with some fresh garland and votives. A small sleigh in the center of the table will give you some height to display pieces of interest. Sleigh bells make for great place card holders. Keep it simple and low so that everyone can see across the table when seated.

Entry: Since this is always the first thing your guests will see, be sure to set the stage in this area. Some ideas include:
An advent calendar that company can participate in
A mini tree on an entry table
Christmas words of encouragement
Add Christmas pillows to a bench
Mantels: There are many directions you go with the mantel but remember to keep the items balanced. Going big with a supersized wreath will add interest and texture. Putting a mirror behind the wreath will also give it an added dimension. Add large lanterns at each end for a symmetrical look. To add height and freshness try placing paper whites or Amaryllis.

Bedrooms: Placing mini white lights around bed posts or across the headboard can set the mood at the end of a long day of shopping or for that guest that’s been traveling all day. Add some Christmas pillows for an added touch of fun (because you can never have too many pillows!). A candle on the night stand is a nice touch and if you use the Luxury Lite faux flame candles you won’t have to worry about spilled candle wax or second guessing if the candle has been snuffed!

Kitchens: Wreaths look great hanging from a cabinet door. Just add a wreath hanger and you have instant Christmas. Scented candles will keep everyone guessing as to whether the tree is real or not!
Well your home should be all decorated now! Sit back and enjoy your holiday with family and friends.
